2. How do I determine quality in artificial grass?
The quality of artificial grass is determined by the actual fibers used and the weight. All of our grass is made with top quality, first run fiber. The more fibers per square yard, the higher the density of the grass. This helps with the longevity of the grass and helps it stand up naturally. We have noticed a lot of companies advertising heavy weight artificial grass such as 90 oz or higher. Sure these are thick products, but now they look like carpet rather than grass. So heavier is not necessarily better.
3. Which artificial grass is right for me?
This depends on the way you plan on using the grass in your landscape. If you are going to place your artificial grass in any area that is not going to get any foot traffic, then use the 40 oz. Artificial grass that is used in a moderate foot traffic area and utilized by a few dogs or children should use the 60oz. - this is what most people will use. Areas that will have heavy foot traffic or are used by multiple large dogs should use an 80oz. grass. We feel all our products have realistic qualities.
4. Can I really install artificial grass myself?
YES ! Why pay someone up to $6 per square foot to install your grass? We can answer any question in regards to your installation and guide you through the process. Most people can install a 500 square foot section of artificial grass in less than 8 hours.
5. How much does a roll of artificial grass weigh?
In general, our artificial grass weighs approx. 10 pounds per 15 linear foot. Multiply 10 times the length that you need and this will be the weight. Remember, all rolls are 15 feet wide. In other words, if you need 15 feet in length, it will weigh 150 pounds, 20 feet will weigh 200 pounds and so forth.
6. What is infill?
All of our turf does not require infill, but we do recommend a silica sand infill on all of our grass (play sand may also be used). Remember to always wear a protective mask when working with silica sand. There are 2 types of infill: sand or crumb rubber. Both help give the grass extra weight and help to keep the fibers standing. Crumb rubber is ground up recycled rubber from tires and such. The crumb rubber gets very hot in the summer time, therefore, we do not recommend using crumb rubber.
7. Does your artificial grass drain?
YES ! When it rains, the water seeps through the perforated holes in the backing which allows water to drain through the grass and back into the earth.
8. Is EverGREEN Grass safe for my family?
YES ! Our artificial grass is non-toxic and free from lead. It is safe for your children and pets to play on. Dogs and cats love to roll around in our grass. Animal waste will not stain our grass either.
9. What type of warranty do you offer?
EverGREEN Grass offers an industry standard 8 year warranty on all of our products. Our warranty protects against fading, manufacturer defects and construction of the artificial turf.
